Overwatch players can finally unlock exclusive Contenders cosmetics and skins by watching Tier-2 matches, and to celebrate, Blizzard is giving away two free Genji skins.
Each month, players will be able to tune into Overwatch Contenders and earn two special skins for two select heroes.
Tracer may be the mascot for Overwatch League, but Genji is the mascot for Contenders, and as such, players will be getting home and away skins just by logging into their accounts.
Plus, players will be getting access to special a player icons and an in-game spray.
How to unlock October’s Mercy & Symmetra skins
To kick off the new viewership incentives, players have to link their Battle.net account on the Contenders homepage and watch a few hours of content.
For October, players will need to watch seven hours of content to unlock the home and away Symmetra skins.
To unlock the home and away Mercy skins, players will need to watch 15 hours of content, or at least leave their computers on the Contenders homepage.

Contenders features many regions including North America, Korea, Europe, China, South America, and Australia, so there are all sorts of chances to tune in.
Plus, the site is teasing event-specific rewards to come in the future with large events such as the Gauntlet, which takes the best teams from all regions and pits them against one another for Tier-2 supremacy.
The skins had been teased quite a long time ago, with the cosmetics originally leaking when the game’s newest hero, Echo, went live. However, Blizzard pulled them claiming they had been “erroneously made available for purchase with OWL Tokens.”
At least now players will get chances to support Tier 2 and earn unique cosmetics in the process. Not a bad deal. We can’t wait to see what skins are going to be unlockable next month.
