London Spitfire are the Overwatch League Season One champions, defeating Philadelphia Fusion in two series to claim the trophy.
After opening up the grand finals with an intense 3-1 win on Friday, the Spitfire only needed to win one more series to secure the title.
London would ultimately only need one more series to lock it up, dominating in a 3-0 sweep to defeat Philadelphia Fusion 2-0.
The London Spitfire were one of the early favorites for the Overwatch League and lived up to that billing by winning the Stage 1 playoffs. As the season progressed, however, the Spitfire struggled to maintain consistency, finishing in ninth place in the final stage.

As a result, they entered the season playoffs as underdogs, and things didn’t seem to have improved when in the first series of their quarter-final against the Los Angeles Gladiators they were defeated 3-0.
After that first series, however, something clicked for London. They came back in incredible form just days later, delivering back-to-back 3-0 wins of their own to reach the semi-finals. London then defeated Los Angeles Valiant in back-to-back series to reach the grand finals, before finally taking down Philadelphia Fusion to win the trophy.
