With Sigma still being relatively new to the Overwatch roster, there haven’t been very many skins made to honor the Talon tank as of yet. That said, a couple of incredible fan creations would fit his character perfectly.
Sigma’s character is all about math and science, so what better way to celebrate the character than with skins based on Sir Isaac Newton and Galileo Galilei.
Redditor and artist MrChumpii took to r/Overwatch to show off his skin creations and they would both be worthy of being added to the game.
“I based my skin on Newton’s story with the apple, also Newton is known as the father of gravity,” the artist wrote in a post.
The story he is referring to is the old tale of how one day, when Newton was sitting under an apple tree, a fruit fell on his head, resulting in an epiphany that caused him to suddenly come up with his law of gravity.
With MrChumpii’s skin, apples circle all around Sigma’s body as he appears dressed as the famous mathematician.
“The weapons were themed by the prisms in witch Newton saw how light splits in other colors,” he added.

As for the Galileo skin, the artist paid homage to the Italian astronomer’s discoveries.
“It has the telescopes that the astrologist invented and as weapons, Sigma has ‘Ganymede’ and ‘Calypso,’” MrChumpii wrote, referencing two moons that he famously discovered.
The artist then explained more of his design and provided a bit of a history lesson in the process: “The Earth on his chest signifies the beliefs of the astronomer.”
Galileo believed that the sun was the center solar system, which led to his arrest by the inquisition. Because of this, MrChumpii placed chains onto Sigma’s legs.
With so many Easter Eggs and references for science nerds, it’s clear that these skins would be amazing in Overwatch. Hopefully, Blizzard takes notice and decides to make these a reality for an upcoming event or potentially even for Overwatch 2.
