Overwatch 2’s Season 11 is almost upon us and it’s bringing a lot of changes and additions, from a new Push map in Runasapi, Colosseo’s rework, and more.
We’re several weeks away from Season 11 and we already know quite a lot about what’s coming, with the devs revealing tons of information about what’s arriving around the corner.
So, as we gear up for Season 11, here is everything we know about what’s coming.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: When does it start?
Overwatch 2 Season 11 will start on June 20, according to Blizzard. Announced in their teaser for Season 11, the season is releasing on a different day than usual.
Most seasons usually start on a Tuesday, however, Season 11 is bucking the trend and starting on a Thursday instead. So, if you haven’t completed your Battle Pass yet, you’ll have until June 19 to get the Mercy Mythic skin.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Pink Mercy returns
Overwatch’s sought-after Pink Mercy skin is returning, with a new Rose Gold Mercy skin to raise money for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
On June 13, Blizzard and the BCRF revealed two skin bundles were coming out to help support the fundraiser, costing $15 for the original Pink Mercy bundle and $20 for the Rose Gold Mercy bundle.
100% of the money raised will be going to the BCRF. In Overwatch’s first fundraising campaign back in 2018, they raised $12.7 million.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Battle Pass Theme
As with every season, there is always a theme, and Season 11’s theme is a homage to shows like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and many other Toksatsu-style shows.
Perhaps this shouldn’t be too surprising as two Genji skins reference Kamen Raider and Super Sentai, with Soldier 76 also having a reference skin.
Additionally, Overwatch’s devs are self-professed fans of anime, and collaborations with One Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop, among other anime references, have cemented it. So this season’s theme shouldn’t be too shocking.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Ashe receives new Mythic Skin, with new Mythic weapon skin
In Season 11, Ashe is getting her first Mythic skin, called Calamity Empress Ashe, as the antagonist of the Battle Pass’ theme, Ultrawatch.
Taking queues from the villains in Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, the skin will be available to purchase in the Mythic shop once Season 11 drops. if you’ve saved you Mythic Prisms from Season 10, you can purchase it fully.
Additionally, Season 11 is bringing out a new Mythic weapon skin, the first of its kind, with Reinhardt getting the Bound Demon skin. The weapon skin will cost 50 Mythic Prisms for its base skin, with additional emotes and effects for a extra 10 Prisms.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Transformers collab
Teased in the Season 11 trailer, a new collaboration is coming with Transformers.
According to the season roadmap, the collab will be dropping on July 9 alongside Summer Games in one of several planned mid-season updates.
The Transformers theme perhaps is keeping in-line with this season’s tribute to the shows you may have watched as kids, like Kamen Rider and of course the Transformers cartoons (if you are old enough to remember them that is).
Overwatch 2 Season 11: New Push map Runasapi
Revealed in Season 10’s Developer Update, Runasapi will be the first Push map to be released after the game mode’s arrival in Overwatch 2 back in 2022.
With Season 11’s trailer releasing, we finally have a first look into Runasapi, and it looks to be one of the narrowest Push maps we’ve seen so far.
In the quick looks we got, we only got a view of the first point, but already Runasapi is shaping up to be a map filled with a lot of choke points, close-quarters fights, and a lot of corners.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Colosseo rework
As revealed in a Developer Update, the Push map Colosseo will be getting some adjustments and reworks.

As Director of Overwatch 2, Aaron Keller told Dexerto, “There are a few places [on Colosseo] that have some pain points.”
The first place he points out is the mid-point of the map where the bot is, which is seeing its side glass removed to give players more freedom of movement as they felt the current way makes fights too long-ranged.
Additionally, the bridge where players could easily stall pushes is getting some changes where “there’s more space for the attacks and defenders to move”, with additional mega-health packs in the area.
The second point on both sides, right in front of the spawns, also got changes, adding more terrain for defenders to play around.
With Season 11’s trailer we finally have a good look at these changes, so here’s what they look like:
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Game modes
As revealed in the Season 11 trailer, there is quite a fair few game modes coming in the season, some new, and some old as part of the annual events.
A new one is a Limited Time Community crafted mode, where the devs invited content creators to reimagine heroes for the mode. In the trailer, the biggest signifier of its goofiness is a flying Zenyatta while in Transcendence, so get ready for yet another April Fool’s-esque mode.
Another new mode (but really, it’s just part of Quick Play: Hacked) is a version of QP that is allowing players to pick their own role-based passives, seemingly a remnant of the scrapped PvE skill tree.
The trailer also teased a limited-time mode for the Ultrawatch theme, however didn’t give us a full look into it.
Some other returning modes are from the Summer Games event, bringing back Lucioball and Winston beach Volleyball for yet another iteration. The Hero Mastery mode is receiving some new heroes as well, with Soldier 76 and Kiriko getting their own maps.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Summer Games is back
With the summer update of course comes the annual Summer Games event in 2024.
The two returning game modes will be Lucioball and Winston’s Beach Volleyball which was present last year. Although, no other new modes for Summer Games were revealed, however, Season 11 is already getting a lot so perhaps the devs don’t want to overload players.
Additions to the fan-favorite Lifeguard skins are coming as well with the event. This time making Kiriko, Lifeweaver, Roadhog, Mauga, and Lucio lifeguards.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Cassidy rework
Previously teased during Season 10, Cassidy’s Magnetic Grenade is getting a rework to revert it back to its old state before Overwatch 2.
In the rework, Cassidy’s grenade will no longer be homing, will only be short-ranged, and will slow/hinder enemies.
The devs also teased Reaper’s rework when explaining Cassidy’s changes, however, there was no mention if it would be coming in Season 11 or later Seasons.
Overwatch 2 Season 11: Is Clash mode arriving?
With Clash’s limited-time trial in Season 10’s arrival, you may be wondering if Season 11 will be seeing the mode officially arrive.
It has not been confirmed if Clash is arriving in Season 11, with the devs saying it would be going live “later into the year”. Perhaps, with a new map and Colosseo rework, the devs may feel like it’s too much to release this season.
However, we will update you here if we get any news about Clash’s potential release in Season 11.
