Overwatch anniversary event – with plenty of changes coming to heroes.
Overwatch fans may just be winding down from the recent Archives in-game event that gave a ton of new content to the popular title but the next significant event is already on the horizon.
The third-year anniversary of Overwatch will kick off on May 21, with Blizzard shutting the party down on June 10. As fans may expect, the developers are lining up new content in the form of skins, dances, sprays, previously released seasonal cosmetics items, and the popular seasonal brawls.
These new items will include six Legendary skins, three epic skins, and new dance emotes for the Ashe, Baptiste, and Wrecking Ball – so you will be able to boogie down with a ton of new heroes.
Overwatch players will have the chance to grab these items through the Legendary Anniversary loot boxes. However, that doesn’t mean that you’ll have to splash out the cash to try your hand at getting some new items as all players will receive one legendary loot box on their first log-in during the event.

Of course, those with the cash to do so can splash out in a bid to collect all the items. Players who purchase the 50 Loot Box Bundle will also receive one bonus Legendary Anniversary Loot Box.
Let's get this party started! :tada::birthday:

Despite all of these new cosmetics and modes, it remains to be seen if Blizzard has anything else in-store for players. During the last anniversary event, Petra was released as an exclusive arcade map for Deathmatch – in both solo and team play.

Blizzard has yet to announce if they have any similar map releases planned for this year, but considering they’re celebrating the game with their annual blow-out event, it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility for them to do so.
