A new Overwatch exploit seems to make Baptiste’s Immortality Field practically immortal when placed in a certain spot on Dorado.
Immortality Field is one of the most powerful abilities in Overwatch, but it’s vulnerable to enemy damage – or it’s supposed to be at least.
Now, a new exploit has been discovered by players that seems to prevent Baptiste’s powerful ability from being damaged, giving the team that uses it an extreme advantage.
What’s the exploit?
Insomniac8 posted an explanation and video of them testing the exploit on the official Overwatch forums and Reddit.
“There’s a spot in Dorado where Baptiste’s immortality field becomes immortal against some heroes and abilities,” they explained before showing the video.
The spot appears to be on the grey stone wall just to your left as you walk through the gate following the first checkpoint.
As Insomniac8 shows in the video, when the Field generator is up against the wall, it seems to be invulnerable to damage from Moira’s ultimate.

That’s not all, Insomniac also tested a large number of damaging abilities from multiple heroes against the Field in the glitched spot and none seem to have any effect, besides splash damage for a select few.
Can we expect a fix soon?
This exploit could easily turn the tide of a team fight because if you can’t destroy the Immortality Field you won’t be able to eliminate any enemy heroes within its field of effect.
With such a serious glitch you would expect to see Blizzard roll out a fix fairly quickly in an upcoming patch.
So far Blizzard hasn’t responded to reports of the exploit at the time of writing, but the Overwatch team has acted fairly quickly to similar glitches in the past – like the very annoying one that let Torbjorn’s turrets shoot through walls.
