During the Overwatch League’s post-match Watchpoint show on Sunday, June 30, some banter between analyst Brennon Hook and Atlanta Reign player Andrej ‘babybay’ Francisty got a bit feisty.
Bren faced off against Jae-hee ‘Gesture’ Hong of the London Spitfire in a Widowmaker 1v1 match during the All-Star Weekend and was getting ready to do it again against Daniel ‘dafran’ Francesca during the Atlanta Reign’s Homestand Weekend on July 6 and 7.
After Dafran appeared to back out of the showdown on Twitter, Babybay stepped up and made it clear he wasn’t scared of taking on Bren in his place instead.
Looks like I might just have to fill in your shoes again and obliterate the trash known as @BrenCasts …

Trash talk gone too far?
After Babybay offered to take dafran’s place in the challenge “to obliterate the trash known as @Brencasts” the caster fired back during Watchpoint on Sunday.
“Not only is Babybay throwing shade at his former teammate, saying ‘I have to fill in your shoes bro after you’re gone from the League,'” Bren said, before fellow caster Salome Soe Gschwind-Penski asked if he would say that to Babybay’s face. “Absolutely, send me to Atlanta right now.”
After a break, the desk actually got the pro on a phone call and the segment that started out as some fun trash talk descended into madness.
“Hey Babybay, you’re trash man, washed up, I’m going to absolutely roll you, when Atlanta comes around it’s not even going to be close,” Bren said, before Malik Forte had to force him to let Babybay get a word in.

“You ain’t shit bro, I will dominate you, I will actually dominate you,” Babybay said over the phone on a live broadcast to tens of thousands of fans.
Bren lives and works around Overwatch so you would hope he’s better than the average player, but that might not help him against an actual pro, if his matchup against Gesture was the best he had to offer.
His chances haven’t stopped the caster from keeping the banter going though, including a strange video posted to Twitter featuring a cardboard cutout of DJ Khaled that may say more about Bren’s mental state than his readiness for this weekend.

What is the Atlanta Homestand?
The Overwatch League and it’s teams are headed to Atlanta, Georgia this weekend for the second set of actual home matches, this time for the Atlanta Reign.
Previously in Stage 2 teams headed down to Allen, Texas for the Dallas Fuel Homestand weekend, which saw the arena jam-packed for both days of the competition.
According to Ticketmaster there are still seats available for the Homestand weekend in Atlanta, but few enough we can assume there will probably be a pretty good crowd showing up to watch all the action.
