Ever since its addition to the Overwatch map rotation, Paris has been a source of frustration for players due to how defender-favored it is. Now, some players believe that Blizzard will have to repeat changes they made with Eichenwalde to make Paris more enjoyable.
Attacking Paris Point A is a massive struggle because the defenders are often set up on the high ground leaving the attackers with two options – neither of which are optimal.
The attacking side either goes left and funnel into a tight room where they’re still vulnerable to damage or attempt going right at the choke but are still susceptible to losing a player in the process.
Just getting to the attackers can be a challenge, but Paris isn’t the first map that players used to have a difficult time assaulting.
The game’s very first DLC map, Eichenwalde, used to have one option for anyone not playing Pharah, and that was to attack through the choke head on. However, Blizzard later added a second doorway that players could use as an additional option, no longer limiting them to the choke.
An Overwatch player on Reddit realized this change may work perfectly for Paris. “It’s time to give Paris Eichenwalde treatment” user xaduha wrote on the Competitive Overwatch subreddit.
“They need to add another entry through first choke, left or right. Yes, I know that it’s not that hard to capture A with a coordinated team, that’s not the point,” the user wrote. “It made Eichenwalde point A more enjoyable and it will make Paris point A more enjoyable. Even comparing it to other 2CP maps it’s not good enough.”

Whether or not Blizzard implements a change, however, is another story, but the company certainly must not be happy with the amount of intentional leavers the map has.
As we previously reported, many Overwatch players often leave the map at the beginning of a match, cancelling it and forcing others to re-queue.
While some believe a map ban or veto system would help solve the problem, simply updating the map to be more fun and not as stressful could help alleviate the issue.
