Overwatch players remain frustrated that the Weapon Inspect feature, which was originally teased in an old reveal trailer, still isn’t in the game.
Overwatch is an extremely unique and fun game, bringing ability-based gameplay that few games in the past have managed to be successful with.
Despite the game’s uniqueness, players wish that it implemented some of the popular features that are loved in other games.
One of these features is weapon inspecting, which was teased by the Overwatch developers in an old reveal trailer, but there is still no sign of the feature.
Overwatch players are fed up with waiting for Weapon Inspecting
One fan reminded others of the absence of the anticipated feature in a social media post, and called it a “baffling” situation.
“What’s even more baffling about weapon inspects not being in Overwatch yet is that the call of duty devs have to make 50+ unique weapon inspect animations every YEAR,” they complained.

Some players agreed with the original poster, feeling it would be a small addition to the game but would be a nice touch to the gameplay.
“It’s a nice small addition that makes the game feel more alive,” said one fan. Others also wanted the feature to finally be added but were worried that Blizzard would find a way to monetize it. “Wait till they bring weapon inspects to OW and make them 10$ each,” said another.
However, some of the Overwatch community didn’t care if the developers added weapon inspection to the game, and also felt that it was unfair to compare Overwatch to Call of Duty.
“Yes and the CoD team is also a lot and I mean a lot bigger. The OW team just has a different priority atm. Rather have them focus on problems than adding stupid unnecessary stuff,” pointed out one player.
Still, the developers have been adding things to Overwatch that have pleased the player base, like the welcomed change to the endorsement system.
