The Overwatch 2 devs have fixed issues with Junker Queen and Doomfist in a hotfix patch after Season 9 brought bugs to the characters.
Overwatch 2’s most recent patch brought some of the biggest changes the game has ever seen. Season 9 saw a massive ranked revamp, overhauled health pools, and a new DPS passive that reduces healing to targets they damage.
The new season also brought a rework to Pharah, who received more horizontal mobility that allows her to function more without the reliance on Mercy.
However, Season 9 also saw the introduction of a couple of nasty bugs to heroes Doomfist and Junker Queen, who have struggled in the new patch. Fortunately, the devs have already released a hotfix for this, solving the issues and bumping the characters in strength.
Lead hero designer Alec Dawson explained that the hotfix was intended to fix multiple Doomfist bugs, as well as an issue with Junker Queen’s melee.

“Hotfix went out for some Doomfist bugs and Junkerqueen’s melee damage. We are continuing to monitor all of the effects of the Season 9 changes.”
Previously Doomfist was one of the worst affected heroes, feeling clunky and having several bugs involving his Punch and Slam, but with the recent bug fixes should see his strength and popularity rise. Similarly, Junker Queen’s melee damage was not working as intended, with the devs deeming it bad enough to hotfix it in the recent patch.
Alongside these hotfixes, the devs have mentioned that they’re monitoring the changes made with Season 9, and are already planning on adjusting things as time goes on.
