An Overwatch player has created a practice tool in the Workshop for improving with Ana’s Sleep Dart ability.
The Sleep Dart training mode is the latest creation of u/DarkyPaky, who’s also responsible for the Ana Nade Tool as well as a Reinhardt practice mode.
Ana’s Sleep Dart is a powerful defensive ability, as one of the most effective forms of single-target crowd control in the game. With no mobility options, it’s her first and most important survival tool when she finds herself targeted by the enemy – which, as a support, is likely to be very often.
Perfecting your use of the ability is key to survival, therefore, but it’s one of the trickier abilities in the game to master. Not only do you have to account for the travel time of the projectile itself, but also the delay caused by the animation to fire it.
The practice mode is set in the second control point of Hanamura, with the Ana player standing in a central circle. An enemy Doomfist will spawn in a random location around the circle and attempt to pull off its full combo of abilities. Ana, meanwhile, simply needs to identify the Doomfist and hit him with a sleep dart.

This training allows Ana players to practice for the worst-case scenario, having to account for three dimensions and both the position of the Doomfist and their own position after being knocked backwards or into the air.
Unfortunately, due to the AI restrictions in the current Workshop, the mode does require another player to be in the game on the other team in order to work, but as long as they are present everything else in the mode is automated.
Players who wish to try out this mode can do so with the share code REX9G.
