The teams were all tied up at two maps a piece and were in the middle of a hotly contested point on Volskaya. Then, the Australian servers decided the matchup was going to wait a little bit.
The casters were stunned into silence while trying to process what just happened, before saying, “it seems we’ve had an unexpected error in the server.”

The Overwatch Open Division is a part of the new Path to Pro system. The top four teams from the Open Division will qualify for a relegation tournament called Trials, where they will play the bottom four teams of the Contenders Division.
The Trials will determine the Contenders teams for the following season. Thankfully, the server crash had no bearing on who will qualify for Trials, since both teams had already secured a top four placing.
