San Francisco Shock’s Jay ‘Sinatraa‘ Won has been crowned the best player in the Overwatch League in 2019, winning the MVP award.
After climbing to the top of the Overwatch League ranks in season two, the San Francisco Shock and Sinatraa have been rewarded, with the DPS player winning the 2019 MVP award.
His Zarya and Doomfist were critical in his team’s success, and his damage stats were off the charts.
The San Francisco Shock tweeted in celebration of their star player’s triumph, saying “Shock fans, please welcome your new @OverwatchLeague MVP, @Sinatraa!”

He topped the League’s damage as Zarya across the season with 12,662 per ten minutes, and he thrived in the GOATS meta which relied on team coordination. His player impact rating was one of the highest across the league, finishing with 119.05 – meaning he had 19% more impact than the average player in the OWL.

While the American DPS prodigy didn’t see much play across stage four, being subbed out for Park “Architect” Min-ho, he’s still had an impact when he’s played. He has come on as a Doomfist specialist for the Shock, covering a gap in Architect’s hero pool.
The Shock hitscan player had a rough start to his Overwatch League career at the end of season one last year, where he looked to carry without the support of his team on picks like Tracer. But, he’s evolved into one of the best team players in the League, working perfectly together with his Shock team mates to help secure their first stage playoffs title in stage two, and the first golden stage.
