Blizzard has revealed more details of the upcoming Overwatch League All-Stars weekend.
On August 25-26, two teams made up of 18 players each – one representing the Atlantic Division, the other the Pacific Division – will go head-to-head at the All-Stars event.
The first day of the event will involve a series of skill challenges. All players on each team must compete in at least one of the following challenges:
- Lúcioball Showdown – a 3v3 best-of-three match on the Busan Lúcioball Arena map.
- Mystery Heroes – a 6v6 best-of-three using standard Mystery Heroes rules.
- Widowmaker 1v1 – Teams will pick four players each to compete in Widowmaker 1v1s. They will first go head-to-head with representatives of their own team, until only one from each Division remains. These Division champions will then face off against each other.
- Lockout Elimination – A 6v6, best-of-three series using standard Lockout Elimination rules.
In addition to the All-Stars challenges, there will also be a “Talent Takedown” match, in which two teams made up of casters and analysts will face off in a 6v6, best-of-three match using standard competitive settings – although if the series is tied at 1-1, it will be decided in Lúcioball. These talent teams will have been drafted by the Atlantic and Pacific coaches ahead of the event.
