The first stage of Overwatch League’s second season has been completed, and it was Vancouver Titans who claimed the title.
The Vancouver Titans are one of the eight new expansion teams to have joined the Overwatch League for Season Two, but they’ve already made their mark with a flawless first stage.
Having finished their Stage One regular season matches undefeated and topping the standings with the best map record, the Titans dispatched Boston Uprising and Seoul Dynasty without dropping a game to reach the Stage One finals.
In the final itself, Vancouver faced off against San Francisco Shock, who are establishing themselves as a major force in the league after spending most of Season One waiting for their underage stars to become eligible to compete.
The final went to a full seven maps before Vancouver were ultimately able to clinch it, making for what many are describing as one of the most exciting series in Overwatch history.
In the final map, Rialto, the Titans were able to set a new record for an offensive push by an entire minute, completing the attach in just 3 minutes and 33 seconds.
It was a good day for Reinhardt fans, as the match-up saw two of the league’s best on the hero – Titans’ Park ‘Bumper’ Sang-beom and Shock’s Matthew ‘Super’ DeLisi – going head-to-head, each pulling off some massive plays over the course of the series.
