Ice element Pals are a versatile element type to keep in your party when exploring, they pack a mean punch against Dragon element Pals and when they’re chilling in base they’ll help keep food fresh! Here are the best Ice Pals to get in Palworld.
While Ice element Pals aren’t quite as fearsome as their Fire-type brethren, their strength against Dragon type Pals and Work Suitability make them a worthwhile catch.
On base, Ice element Pals can use Cooling to help keep food fresher for longer, handy for players who like to stock up on snacks for them and their hungry Pals. But out exploring is where having an Ice element Pal can be the most useful. Thanks to their strength against Dragon element Pals, Ice Pals are a huge boon in taking down and capturing legendary Pals like Jormuntide and Astegon!
Here are the best Ice Pals to get in Palworld.
Frostallion
- Element: Ice
- Partner Skill: Ice Steed – Can be ridden as a flying mount. Changes the player’s attack type to Ice and enhances Ice attacks while mounted.
- Work Suitability: Cooling Lv4
Frostallion is an SS tier Pal, and easily one of the best Pals in the game. Not only does its Partner Skill turn it into a flying mount, but it also changes the Player’s damage type to Ice whenever they’re attacking from Frostallion’s back.
As a Legendary Pal, you can expect it to put up a considerable fight, so make sure you take a suitable Fire pal along — Blazamut or Ragnahawk are both good picks.

Penking
- Element: Ice & Water
- Partner Skill: Brave Sailor – While fighting together, Fire Pals drop more items when defeated.
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv2, Transporting Lv2, Watering Lv2, Mining Lv2, Cooling Lv2
Penking is one of the best Pals a player can catch, this Pal can also be hatched from Large Damp Eggs. A powerful hitter and tanky to boot, Penking is considered an SS tier Pal, and is a great help during Alliance Tower Raids or when exploring dungeons.
Penking also is an excellent Pal for the base, thanks to their wide range of Work Suitability. They’re easily one of the best all-rounders in Palworld.
Cryolinx
- Element: Ice
- Partner Skill: Dragon Hunter – While fighting together, Dragon Pals drop more items when defeated.
- Work Suitability: Handiwork Lv1, Lumbering Lv2, Cooling Lv3
Cryolinx is an A-tier Pal who can be caught around the Pristine Snow Fields over on the Tundra Island. Players can also hatch Cryolinx from a Large Frozen Egg or pay a Black Marketeer for one.
Although not quite as strong or versatile as Penking, Cryolinx does have two additional Work Suitability, Lumbering and Handiwork, which makes them a good base worker. Cryolinx has good starting stats, which continue to increase at a decent rate as it levels, making it a great option to keep in the party for Players over level 30.
