A Palworld player’s glowing Lamball has the community wondering whether it might start evolving like a Pokemon.
A spherical lamb that walks only on two legs, the Lamball easily counts among the most adorable creatures in Pocketpair’s breakout hit.
There’s not much mystery to this particular Pal, especially when considering how quickly Palworld players can capture it.
However, some users are starting to wonder if there’s more to the lamb-like Pal than meets the eye. One person’s randomly glowing Lamball has the community thinking long and hard about whether or not Pals have the ability to evolve.
Palworld players mystified by glowing Lamball creature
After stumbling across something rather shocking, a user named Nineties_girl turned to Reddit with an earnest question, “Why is the lamball glowing?” The Redditor shared more information in the caption, revealing that holding the Pal “raises character temperature, too.”
Understandably, the community isn’t sure how to respond to the question or the strange screenshot accompanying it, which shows a Lamball glowing bright yellow-orange with a red haze encircling it.
Given the unending comparisons between Palworld and Pokemon, numerous Redditors joked that the Lamball may be evolving.

“Looks like it’s trying to evolve,” reads one such reply from a fan.
Another person suggested “It’s evolving to woolipop,” a pink Palworld creature that basically constitutes a sheep and poodle mix.
Someone else offered a more reasonable explanation, pondering that “maybe it’s stuck in the implode animation?”
This certainly seems to make the most sense. Implode is an ability that allows Pals to self-destruct and set off a fiery explosion in the act.
Creatures who use the Implode skill successfully turn bright orange right before they burst. It’s possible, then, that the Redditor’s Lamball is indeed trapped in an Implode animation.
