A Palworld player has discovered a new way to make stairs and a spiral staircase by manipulating existing furniture and turning it into steps.
Palworld merges the monster-catching of Pokemon with the survival & crafting gameplay of Valheim. You’re not just restricted to Viking longhouses, as Palworld lets you build all kinds of fancy houses and modern facilities in your base.
There are some limits to assembling your base in Palworld, at least compared to similar crafting games like Minecraft. You can’t build some items too close together, and you can’t build a lot of pieces outside of your base, which restricts the pace of your growth until you start completing missions.
The player is also limited by the types of furniture and house pieces in the game. Palworld is still in Early Access, so the full range of planned base elements may not be included in the game at the moment, especially as there are still bugs and performance issues that need addressing first.
Palworld player makes stairs out of benches
A user on the Palworld Reddit has shared a video explaining how to make a new kind of staircase in their base. They do this by assembling the basic wooden benches into stairs, which can be ascended/descended as normal.

Not only that, but the benches can also be turned, creating spiral stairs, for fancier furnishing than what’s currently offered in the game. It also takes up less space compared to the basic set of stairs you have unlocked at the start of the game.
The user accomplished all this by building the bench blueprint while jumping and hitting the confirm button, as the current bench is above one on the ground. It’s a slower method than the existing stairs, but it’s much more customizable.
“These are the steepest stairs in the world, also the most practical for a video game. 10/10,” one user wrote, while another said, “Oohhh this is smart. I gotta try this so I can do three floors without a ton of stair space.”
Hopefully, Palworld will add more furnishings in future updates. The game has been a smash hit since launch, so the developers are incentivized to keep supporting it for years to come, either through paid or free updates.
