A Palworld player has a big-brained solution for overcoming those tough Alpha Pal boss fights. We’re actually mad we didn’t think of it.
Palworld has rocketed to success to swiftly become one of the most popular games of all time. The elevator pitch for the title is that it’s Pokemon with guns but our own review reveals that there’s much more to Palworld than that.
Palworld’s millions of players have been gushing over the game’s incredibly fun mix of survival, crafting, and creature-collection mechanics since its early access launch. Some of the more savvy among them have been pushing those mechanics to the limit with genetically engineered super Pals and insanely intricate bases.
Now, a new way to turn some of Palworld’s mechanics to your advantage has been discovered. Reddit user u/Jemsona has a neat trick for annihilating bosses that involves some speedy base setup and an army of Pals.
u/Jemsona’s strategy is actually surprisingly simple and you might just kick yourself for not coming up with it yourself. They absolutely crush the level 45 Emperor of the Sea Jormuntide in seconds but it will work on any of Palworld’s Alpha Pals.
The trick to pulling this off is setting up two Palboxes close to the area that an Alpha Pal roams in the open world. This creates two makeshift bases in the area where you can summon up to 40 Pals in total.

From there, just aggro the Alpha Pal and your own workforce will behave as if they are attacking your base. Including the Pal you have at the head of your team, all 41 pals will bombard the Alpha Pal with attacks.
Ordinarily, Alpha Pals are tough to beat thanks to their increased HP and heavily buffed stats. Unfortunately, Palworld wasn’t balanced for a 41-on-1 ganking and u/Jemsona’s “tower defense” strategy makes short work of them.
This certainly seems like something Pocketpair might sneakily fix up given how it trivialises a lot of Palworld’s major encounters.
Still, there are no hard and fast rules against using a small army of Pals to curb-stomp the game’s bosses so you’ll be fine for a little while.
