A Palworld player figured out how to move around heavy resources without becoming encumbered in the process.
Palworld’s crafting system means players regularly find themselves picking up items to collect and preserve for later use.
Naturally, the game boasts weight capacity limitations, so carrying too many resources results in the player character becoming encumbered. To the chagrin of many players, encumbrance even takes hold when simply walking around a base area. It’s a headache most would rather avoid.
One user seems to have figured out how to transfer items more quickly without having to worry about carrying capacity.
Palworld fan shares solution for transferring heavy resources
Twitter user and YouTuber makeUmove recently shared a video (via Redditor BeyondSmash) that walks Palworld fans through how to transfer items too heavy to carry. Notably, this guide centers on mouse and keyboard gameplay.
This simple Palworld solution requires players to do the following:

- Open storage container
- Click and hold the item
- Hit the ‘Tab’ key to exit storage
- Walk to another storage container and open it
- Then, finally, place the held item in an available slot
The following clip shows the process in action:
Response to the above Reddit post couldn’t be more excited about this revelation for transferring Palworld resources. One happy user replied, “I thought pressing R and the grappling hook was already big brain. This is bigger-brained tech! Thanks for sharing!”
A similarly thrilled response reads, “I don’t think you understand how much this post means to me. thank you… thank you so much.”
While thankful for the tip, several other Palworld users chimed in to note that this could be solved if developers introduced “unlimited carry weight in bases…”
It’s unclear if Pocket Pair plans on addressing these concerns in an official patch. For now, then, mouse and keyboard players should get used to relying on this method.
