Pocketpair apologized to players after Palworld’s 1.5.0 update fixed the Tower Boss bug, which many people liked.
Palworld features its fair share of exploits. Arguably the most popular of the bunch involved a glitch that let players capture Tower Boss like Zoe and Grizzbolt.
The glitch worked such that players could aggro the bosses using police, wait a bit, and then toss a Pal Sphere for a fairly easy catch. Once acquired, Tower Bosses made for good battle buddies.
Pocketpair’s rollout of the 1.5.0 patch changed the status quo, ensuring players can no longer use this exploit to catch these boss-level Pals.
Palworld dev apologizes for Tower Boss glitch fix
Players typically cheer when development teams issue updates that address well-known gameplay bugs. That hasn’t been the case with Palworld’s 1.5.0 patch, however, which wiped out the aforementioned boss capture error.
The fix immediately caused quite a bit of upset among fans, forcing developer Pocketpair to issue an apology. In a short Twitter/X post, a Pocketpair representative said the team removed the bug accidentally. “We apologize for inadvertently fixing a bug,” the message reads in part.

Such wording suggests the developers didn’t mind Palworld players cheesing the game to capture Tower Bosses. However, the comment is likely sarcasm, meaning the glitch is gone for good.
There is some good news, though – players who previously captured Tower Bosses get to keep them for continued use.
In addition to tackling the boss capture bug, 1.5.0 also introduced several balance adjustments, improved cheating measures, implemented save data backups, and more.
Palworld entered early access in January for PC and Xbox platforms, offering up a monster-capturing survival game like no other. Its success continues to take the industry by storm, so there’s no telling what new heights it will reach before a full release goes live.
