Palworld has attracted enormous attention due to its Pokemon-like features and it appears players are not waiting around before getting a Trading Card Game in motion.
The game has smashed records on Steam and its developers have held urgent talks with Epic Games to ensure they can meet demand after an early access boom in interest.
While the game only launched this January, its new-found community of players has already taken on a life of its own. Over 1.5 million concurrents have been recorded at its peak, making it the third-highest in Steam history behind Counter-Strike 2 and PUBG.
With so much public backing behind the project now, some are daring to dream about what could happen next… Could the Pals that have become famous overnight form a card collection?
Will there be a Palworld TCG?
Palworld’s developers have not yet released any plans to create a Trading Card Game, similar to that of Pokemon, though fans have started to create designs themselves.
Specifically, Reddit user TrevorWoodham on January 22.

They said: “I’m going to design and draw a Palworld Trading Card every day for every Pal. Day 1.”
The design has some similarities to Pokemon, naturally, but stands out in its own right. Members of the game’s subreddit are now expecting Trevor’s series of card designs to be a regular thing on the page.
This first post, after all, racked up over 1,600 upvotes – which, even with it being a small sample size, suggests there is a decent level of interest for a Trading Card Game of sorts later down the line.
Palworld developers are still working their way through hundreds of requests for fixes and adjustments from members of the community to improve their game, which remains in early access at the time of writing.
Whether or not there would be long-term interest – or a plan, even – for the rollout of a Pals card set is unknown, though the early message from its fans seems to be a resounding YES.
