Ancient Civilization Parts are an important crafting resource in Palworld, but you’ll need to find them before you can put them to good use.
Alongside capturing Pals and upgrading your base, gathering resources is essential for survival, and Ancient Civilization Parts (also known as Paldium Crystals) is one of the best materials in the game. These are vital for creating important late-game items like the Egg Incubator and Giga Shield.
Luckily, there are multiple ways to find this resource in Palworld, and we’ve got a rundown of where to get them and the best method to farm them.
Where to find Ancient Civilization Parts
Ancient Civilization Parts can be found in Palworld by either defeating Dungeon Bosses or knocking out and looting Alpha Pals.
If you’re looking to farm these parts quickly, though, we’d recommend battling Alpha Pals over dungeon exploration. However, if you’ve got the time, and want to face the challenge, dungeon bosses are always an option too.
Alpha Pals
Alpha Pals can be identified by their large forms (they’re typically much bigger than their normal counterparts), as well as the red name, and health bar that appears above them in the open world.
- You can spot the initial location of an Alpha Pal via circle icons on your minimap, and once you’ve found them their general location will always remain marked for you to keep track of.
- Once you’ve hoovered over the minimap icon, you’ll also see the Alpha Pals level – which means you can decide whether or not you’re ready to fight it beforehand.
There are many Alphas out there to find, but we’d recommend battling the Level 11 Alpha Pal Chillet first.

This pal is located at the Fort Ruins, near the Grassy Behemoth Hills fast travel point, and is fairly easy to defeat or catch – we’d just advise bringing a Fire-type Pal with you like Foxparks, Rooby, or Pyrin.
Dungeon Bosses
Dungeon Bosses are strong Pals you’ll find at the end of dungeons in Palworld. Dungeons in the game are only ever active for up to 300 minutes and they then shut down and don’t respawn again until more dungeons across the map have been closed.
Once a dungeon has opened, you’ll only have 5 hours to explore the entire thing and defeat the boss – so we’d recommend ensuring you’re at the best level for the challenge (every dungeon will indicate its set level and unique rewards before you enter).
To further complicate things, each dungeon layout differs – with some being single boss rooms, and others having a more maze-like quality.
