Xbox has announced plans to help support Palworld’s developers in improving the console experience. This comes after a massive reveal about Palworld’s player base on the platform.
Palworld’s popularity is unquestionable with near-daily updates about its record-breaking concurrent player count on Steam since launch. Its carefree blend of survival, crafting, and creature collection has captured the attention of millions of players.
While Palworld’s Steam numbers have been in the open since it was released in early access, people have patiently waited for the numbers from Xbox Game Pass. The team at Xbox has finally given the okay for those numbers to go public.
In a blog post, Xbox announced that Palworld was the biggest third-party launch on Game Pass of all time with over 7 million players. Capitalizing on the game’s success, Xbox explained their plans to help improve the Palworld experience on the console.
Since its launch, the version of Palworld available via Game Pass and the Microsoft Store has lagged behind the Steam Version. Palworld’s developer Pocketpair previously explained that this was because of roadblocks with Xbox’s patch certification.
Players have been petitioning Microsoft and the Xbox team to commit more resources to Palworld. Thanks to the game’s explosive popularity, Xbox is doing just that.

“On Xbox’s part, we’re working with Pocketpair to help provide support for Xbox versions of the game,” the company revealed. This includes heavily requested features and direct contact with the Palworld team to improve the Xbox experience.
“We’re providing support to enable dedicated servers, offering engineering resources to help with GPU and memory optimization, speeding up the process to make Palworld updates available for players, and working with the team to optimize the title for our platform.”
This is great news for Palworld players on Xbox Game Pass who have had to wait longer for bug fixes and performance improvements.
Not that this has deterred them. Outside of the massive 7 million total players, Xbox also revealed that daily peaks exceeded 3 million Palworld players at a time.
