Between all the different Ice-types in Pokemon Go, including Froslass, Glalie, and Vanilluxe, it can be hard to decide which one to go with to counter Dragon and Flying-types.
Alolan Sandslash is a bit different than its Kanto counterpart, as it’s a dual Ice/Steel-type. But, can it be a good counter option in Pokemon Go?
Here’s a look at what moveset to use with Alolan Sandslash and whether it’s good for PvP play.
Best moveset for Alolan Sandslash in Pokemon Go
The best moveset for Alolan Sandslash in Pokemon Go is Powder Snow as the Fast Move, and Ice Punch & Drill Run as the Charged Moves.
Powder Snow doesn’t have the highest DPS among the Fast Moves Alolan Sandslash can learn. However, its STAB bonus, coupled with an 8.0 EPS, makes it the best Fast Move to use.
As for the Charged Moves, Ice Punch is a clear choice given its low cost and STAB bonus. Drill Run, on the other hand, doesn’t offer the STAB bonus since this version of Sandslash isn’t a Ground-type.
