Here’s a look at the best moveset for Gallade in Pokemon Go, plus whether the Psychic/Fighting-type has any power in the PvP meta.
Gen IV of the Pokemon franchise brought a second different evolution for Ralts, called Gallade. Gallade differs from Gardevoir substantially, as only certain Ralts can turn into it and this final form is a Psychic/Fighting-type.
But for those who already have a Gallade in Pokemon Go, one might be wondering what the best moveset for it is.
We can help with that, as here’s a look at the best moveset for Gallade in Pokemon Go and whether it’s a good choice for PvP action.
Gallade’s best moveset in Pokemon Go
The best moveset for Gallade is to go with Confusion as a Fast Move, and Close Combat and Leaf Blade as Charged Moves.
Confusion is the best choice of the three possible Fast Moves that Gallade can learn. It has the highest EPS (6.0) of the three and does give the coveted same type attack bonus (STAB).
As far as Charged Moves are concerned. Close Combat is a must. It’s a Fighting-type move, has very high Power, and doesn’t cost much to get going.

For the second Charged Move, Psychic is somewhat viable given that it gives the STAB bonus. However, Leaf Blade’s high DPE makes it a better secondary move.

Is Gallade any good in Pokemon Go?
Gallade works best in the Master League, believe it or not. Per PvPoke, XL Gallade ranked #158 in the Master League as of January 2024.
Yes, there are more viable Pokemon to use in that format, particularly Legendaries and pseudo-Legendaries like Garchomp. Still, the Psychic/Fighting-type could be an interesting off-meta option.
As far as other formats, Gallade ranked #241 in the Ultra League and its Shadow version sat at #280 in the Great League.
