Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Flutter Mane raid schedule
As revealed by The Pokemon Company, both Flutter Mane and Iron Jugulis will populate Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid battles from Friday, January 26, 2024, at 00:00 UTC, until Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 23:59 UTC.
This gives Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players a whole weekend to grab the Pokemon, and also add one of the version-exclusive Paradox ‘mons to their arsenal.
Flutter Mane moveset and type
Flutter Mane is dual Ghost/Fairy-type, meaning it is immune to Normal, Fighting, and Dragon-type moves, plus it resists Bug-type moves.
This creature is weak to Ghost and Steel-type attacks but is otherwise normally damaged by every remaining type. It also has a very high Sp. Def stat of 135, with a regular Defense stat of 55, meaning players will want to use physical moves wherever possible.
During 5-Star Tera Raid battles Flutter Mane will have random Tera types, so prepare for several different possibilities, but consider that Flutter Mane has STAB Ghost and Fairy-type moves, as well as a mammoth 135 Sp. Attack stat. Don’t bring any dragons, and especially not Dragapult.

Best Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Flutter Mane counters
While Flutter Mane is indeed a tough Pokemon to beat, thankfully the upcoming Tera Raid event only features the creature in 5-Star raids, meaning it’ll be much easier than previous 7-Star raids such as Blaziken and Mewtwo.
However, it still won’t be easy, and if you want to catch plenty of Flutter Mane to get one with perfect stats, it is best to go in prepared. We recommend using only Lvl. 100 Pokemon, or as close to that as possible, and battling online with three other trainers.
Then, the following Pokemon are useful counters for Flutter Mane so you can defeat and capture it in Tera Raid battles:
Pokemon | Moves | Nature | Ability | Item | Tera | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Kingambit | Kowtow Cleave, Swords Dance, Iron Head, Tuant | Adamant | Defiant | Shell Bell | Steel | |
Incineroar | Darkest Lariat, Temper Flare, Sunny Day, Swords Dance | Adamant | Intimidate | Shell Bell | Fire | |
Scizor | Bullet Punch, Skitter Smack, Swords Dance, Light Screen | Adamant | Swarm | Shell Bell | Bug | |
Sylveon | Shadow Ball, Helping Hand, Psyshock, Light Screen | Calm | Pixilate | Shell Bell | Fairy |
Can Flutter Mane be Shiny?
In keeping with previous Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid events, we do not anticipate that Flutter Mane will be available in its Shiny form from these raids.
If it appears as though Shiny Flutter Mane can be caught from this Tera Raid event, we will update this guide to reflect that.
Can players catch Flutter Mane in Pokemon Violet?
During the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Tera Raid event, the Pokemon Flutter Mane will appear for Pokemon Scarlet players while Iron Jugulis will appear for Pokemon Violet players.
However, despite your version, you can join Tera Raid battles online, so Pokemon Violet players can join Flutter Mane raids hosted by Pokemon Scarlet players.
