Pokemon Day February 2024 predictions
With the release of the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC, it seems that our time in Paldea is over, and the most likely thing is a brand-new game. Itâs almost certainly too soon for the next generation, and Pokemon may likely want to save Generation 10 for the seriesâ 30th anniversary in 2026.
Instead, 2024 could be the year for a spin-off, such as another entry in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon franchise, Pokemon Pinball, the long-forgotten Pokemon TCG games, or even something completely new.

Fans seem most convinced that recent links to Unova in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC are pointing towards Pokemon Black & White remakes, or a Pokemon Legends: Arceus-style title focused on Unova and an ancient Pokemon like Genesect.
Another firm fan-favorite request is a Pokemon Legends: Johto, returning to the world of Pokemon Gold & Silver, but in the PLA open-world format.
This is all wishful thinking though, and expectations should be kept in check. Pokemon may want to save large new entries in the franchise for more powerful hardware.
Whatever gets announced at Pokemon Day 2024, we expect it to be one, or maybe two, smaller-scale games, designed to tide fans over until the launch of larger new games next year, alongside potential new Nintendo Switch hardware. A Mystery Dungeon game feels likely, anything more is a bonus.
Meanwhile, Pokemon Go is sure to get some new updates, especially as the current season Timeless Travels finishes at the end of February. Perhaps more Pokemon from Paldea will be introduced, or some sort of celebrations to tie in with any announcements during the Pokemon Presents.
Next, the Pokemon TCG is also likely to be covered, as sets such as Crimson Haze in Japan are already revealed, and rumors of an English set called Twilight Masquerade are already doing the rounds. We expect a full reveal for the next English set, as well as new Ace Spec and Full Art cards.
It has also recently been confirmed that new episodes of Pokemon Concierge are in production, so alongside news on Nintendo Switch games, and mobile titles like Go and Masters Ex, the Pokemon Presents will likely touch on what is next for the Pokemon franchise in TV and film.
