The mighty Mega Gardevoir is making a comeback to Pokemon Go‘s Mega Raids, but you’ll need to know its weaknesses and the best counters to use if you want to defeat this powerful creature.
The Hoenn region’s Psychic/Fairy-type Gardevoir is one of the most adored Pokemon of all time, and so is its Mega Evolution. But, before you can try out Mega Gardevoir for yourself, though, you’ll need to defeat it in a Mega Raid Battle.
To help you do that, here are all the details you need to know about Mega Gardevoir, including its weaknesses and some of the top counters you should feature on your team.
Mega Gardevoir weaknesses in Pokemon Go
Mega Gardevoir is a dual Psychic/Fairy-type Pokemon, which means it’s weak against Ghost, Poison, and Steel-type attacks. Focus on these moves where possible.
On the other hand, you should avoid using Dragon, Fighting, and Psychic-type attacks, as Mega Gardevoir is resistant to them and they won’t do much damage during the encounter.

How to get Mega Gardevoir in Pokemon Go
You’ll be able to fight Mega Gardevoir during its time as a Mega Raid boss from September 26, 2024, until October 4, 2024.
The most important thing to mention here is that you cannot catch Mega Gardevoir in Pokemon Go. However, you’ll get the chance to catch a regular Gardevoir if you win a Mega Raid Battle against it.
To turn Gardevoir into Mega Gardevoir for the first time, you’ll need to collect 200 Gardevoir Mega Energy. This can be done by defeating multiple Mega Gardevoir in Raid Battles, by walking with Gardevoir as your buddy, or by completing special Research Tasks.
Can Mega Gardevoir be Shiny?
Yes, Mega Gardevoir can be Shiny in Pokemon Go, as it was introduced into the game on the same day.
Players can recognize Shiny Mega Gardevoir by its outstanding black body, which differs greatly from its usual white.
To keep you from being disappointed, remember that the odds of finding a Shiny Pokemon in general are very low and there’s no technique to ensure you’ll find one.
