The Pokemon Go Battle League Season 23, Delightful Days, has plenty of weekly scheduled leagues and cups to take part in, as well as some great rewards and themed Battle Days.
While catching ’em all is the name of the game in Pokemon Go, Trainers looking to test their might against others will want to head to the competitive Go Battle League.

Pokemon Go Battle League Season 23 start & end dates
Season 23 of the Go Battle League kicked off on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, and will run until Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Remember that, as usual, at the beginning of every season, you’ll be able to claim your end-of-season rewards from the battle screen, and your Go Battle League rank will be reset.

In addition to the traditional trio of Great, Ultra, and Master Leagues, there are many special cups this season, like the Sunshine and Fossil Cups.

Events in Go Battle League Season 23
There will be one special event taking place during Season 23 of the Go Battle League: Go Battle Weekend: Delightful Days, which will run from 12:00 AM local time on August 15, 2025, to August 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM local time.

- During this event, you’ll earn 4× Stardust from win rewards, though this bonus doesn’t apply to end-of-set rewards.
- For one day only, the maximum number of sets you can play daily will jump from five to 20, giving you a total of 100 battles from midnight to 11:59 p.m. local time.
- Trainers will have access to free, battle-themed Timed Research with rewards, including shoes inspired by a powerful Battle Tower battler for your avatar.
- The Pokémon you encounter as GO Battle League rewards will have a broader range of stats, making it a great opportunity to catch unique fighters with varying Attack, Defense, and HP attributes.

Timed Research Pass
A pass to access battle-themed Timed Research is available for free at the in-game shop following the start of the Delightful Days season.
The Timed Research will keep the player’s track throughout the season. Each page will require 100 wins to complete, and doing so will award Stardust and items such as Rare Candy XL, Elite Fast TM (at 400 wins), Elite Charged TM (at 500 wins), and more.
Avatar Items
Trianers taking part in the Battle League encounters will be able to earn a few avatar items inspired by a powerful Battle Power battler from the Pokemon Sword & Shield games.
