The headliner for Pokemon Go’s January 2025 Community Day Classic is Ralts! Here’s everything you need to know about the day, including event times, exclusive moves, Shiny availability, and the list of all previous Community Day stars.

The Community Day Classic is a monthly event in Pokemon Go that brings back Pokemon from previous events, with boosted wild spawns, increased Shiny chances, exclusive moves when evolved, and bonuses like extended Incense duration.

Community Days now last for three hours, and they always occur on the weekend so that most players can get involved. They’re some of the most popular events in the Pokemon Go Calendar, alongside Spotlight Hours.

Below, you’ll find plenty of information to help you make the most of the January 2025 Community Day event, which features Hoenn’s Ralts as the main attraction.

Upcoming Community Day in Pokemon Go

Date & time

The January 2025 Pokemon Go Community Day Classic event will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time

Headliner

Ralts, the Psychic/Fairy-type Starter from the Hoenn region featured in Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire, headlines the January 2025 Community Day Classic!

Ralts will be the star of the show during the upcoming event, with trainers having an increased chance of coming across it during the announced timeframes.

Boosted Shiny odds for Ralts

Ralts will have boosted Shiny odds for the duration of this event.

Ralts Community Day Classic exclusive moves

If a player evolves Kirila (Ralts evolution) during the Community Day – or up to 5 hours after – they’ll be able to get a Gardevoir or Gallade that knows the Charged Attack Synchronoise.

Synchronoise stats

Here’s the Charged Move’s power in every type of battle:

  • Trainer battles: 80 power
  • Gymd and Raids: 80 power

Pokemon Go Community Day event bonuses

The following event bonuses will be live during January’s Community Day:

  • 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
  • Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!

Timed Research

Players who are active during the Pokemon Go Community Day Classic can attempt Timed Research tasks for the following rewards:

How to prepare for Pokemon Go Ralts Community Day Classic

If you’re going to take part in a Community Day Classic, there are a few things you can do to prepare and get the most out of the event:

  • Purchase Incense to use on the day as they will last longer than usual.
  • Save any Lure Modules you have, as they will last for three hours during the event.
  • Stock up on lots of Ultra Balls so you can catch plenty of the headline Pokemon.
  • Transfer any unwanted Pokemon in advance so you’ll have space for all the catching you’ll do.
  • Check the bonuses that run during the event so you can take advantage of them.

There will also be a ticket for the January Community Day Special Research story available to purchase from the in-game shop closer to the event date.

Ralts Community Day Special & Field Research tasks

For US$ 2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access the Ralts Community Day-exclusive Special Research. We’ll update the article when the tasks have been revealed.

Pokemon Go Web Store – Ultra Community Day Box

During the Community Day, an Ultra Community Day Box will be available on the Pokemon Go Web Store. The US$ 4.99 (or equivalent pricing tier in your local currency) box will include:

  • x10 Ultra Balls
  • x1 Elite Charged TM
  • x1 Special Research ticket

The Ultra Community Day box will be available from December 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM PST.

You may notice that every December headliner is missing from this list. That’s because, in December, Niantic featured every Pokemon from the past year as headliners at the same time.

Alongside all of these Community Days, there have been a few Community Day Classics that bring back old headliners. Most recently, Pokemon Go held a Community Day Classic featuring the elusive Pokemon Beldum.
