How to get Wiglett in Pokemon Go
As the newest addition to the Pokemon Go Pokedex, there is currently only one way to get Wiglett in the game and it is as a wild spawn.
More specifically, players can only find Wigglet in the beach biome in Pokemon Go along with fellow Water-type Pokemon like Squirtle, Psyduck, Seel, Magikarp, and more. Just make sure that the background in your battle screen is a beach so you know you’re in the right place.
The Rediscover Kanto event will feature multiple biomes such as forests, mountains, beaches, and cities, each containing different wild spawns.
Can Wiglett be Shiny in Pokemon Go?
No, Shiny Wiglett is not available in Pokemon Go yet. The Rediscover Kanto event introduced Wiglett to the game, but it did not include its Shiny variation.
We will update this article with any information about Shiny Wiglett as we receive it.

As a new addition to the game, Wiglett’s move pool is quite limited with only two Fast Moves and three Charged Moves for players to try out.
Wiglett Fast Moves
- Water Gun (Water/STAB)
- Mud-Slap (Ground)
Wiglett Charged Moves
- Dig (Ground)
- Surf (Water/STAB)
- Liquidation (Water/STAB)
How to evolve Wiglett into Wugtrio in Pokemon Go
Even though Wiglett doesn’t spawn quite often as other Pokemon, evolving it is pretty simple as it only has one stage and doesn’t require any special items or methods.
To evolve Wiglett into Wugtrio, you need to feed it 50 Wiglett Candy.
As the Candy is scarce with this particular Pokemon, you can use Pinap Berries to duplicate the amount you get per catch. Additionally, you can send your extra Wiglett to Professor Willow or set it as your Buddy and walk with it.
