Pokemon Go fans are concerned that one long-awaited PokeStop Showcase feature will never make its debut in the mobile game.
Developer Niantic announced that the PokeStop Showcase feature would be coming to Pokemon Go back in July of 2023.
Since then PokeStop Showcases have steadily released as parts of various events, with each event focusing on different monsters as the star of the show.
However, there is one feature surrounding PokeStop Showcases that has yet to fully make its way to Pokemon Go, and fans are concerned it may be completely dead.
Pokemon Go fans confused about missing Showcase feature
A post on TheSilphRoad subreddit titled, “So when are we getting XXS showcases? Never?” sparked a discussion among fans after they brought up the missing feature.
The OP asked, “What is the point of launching size measurements, popping up notifications that ‘it’s tiny’ and XXS when you go to appraisal, etc. when every showcase for months has been XXL only?”

While the trainer guessed that Niantic simply hadn’t programmed in XXS Showcases yet, others had some different takes.
Some fans still believed the feature would come and that it’s just a matter of time. “Presumably some day they will add “Smallest Pokemon” Pokemon showcases, but it doesn’t seem like they want to take that opportunity yet,” said one player.
Others agreed the feature may never get released after all. “Probably never. There was some dialogue in the Matteo special research that implies that he will be doing something with tiny Pokémon…” one Reddit user said.
However, it may be too little too late already, as many fans have already started to purge their XXS Pokemon. It’s still unclear when exactly Niantic plans to introduce XXS Showcases, but it seems clear fans are itching for some more variety.
