A Pokemon Go player has discovered an easy way to evolve Annihilape that doesn’t involve going outside, much to the appreciation of the fanbase.
Annihilape is a new Primeape evolution introduced in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. This Ghost/Fighting-type Pokemon quickly made a name for itself as one of the strongest new creatures in the competitive scene, thanks to its typing, stats, and Ability.
To evolve Primeape into Annihilape in the mainline Pokemon games, it needs to use Rage Fist twenty times and then be leveled up. You can also encounter Annihilape in 5 and 6-Star Tera Raid Battles, so long as you can defeat it first.
Pokemon Go has a different way of evolving Primeape into Annihilape, as you need to defeat 30 Ghost or Psychic-type Pokemon while Primeape is set as your Buddy. This can take a while, but fans have devised a more efficient method for doing so.
There’s an easy way to evolve Primeape in Pokemon Go
A user on the Pokemon Go Reddit has explained a strategy for fulfilling Annihilape’s evolution requirements as quickly as possible. It involves using the Battle settings instead of going out and facing wild Pokemon or tackling Gyms.

The tactic involves facing Blanche in the Master League, which can be selected from the Battle menu. Blanche uses a Metagross in her team, a Psychic-type Pokemon that will count towards Annihilape’s requirements.
Blanche leads with Suicune, so you’ll need a Pokemon that can defeat it, such as Mega Sceptile or Kartana. With Suicune out of the way, you must face Metagross, which can be taken down with a powerful Fire or Dark-type Pokemon, like Mega Charizard Y or Mega Tyranitar.
Once you’re done with Metagross, you can quit out of the battle, heal your party, and then restart the battle. It’s worth noting that you don’t even need Primeape in your party for this trick – just set it as your Buddy while the battles are taking place.
With this trick in mind, you should be able to receive an Annihilape in a short period of time. It still requires some grinding, but if you have the right team for it, you can do it from home without needing to rely on random chance, as you’re guaranteed to face a Psychic type whenever you tackle Blanche.
