How to capture Legendary Pokemon in The Indigo Disk DLC
If you want to catch the Legendary creatures in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk, you will first have to meet certain conditions.
To encounter Legendary Pokemon in The Indigo Disk, you must complete the main story of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, as well as both main stories in Teal Mask, and The Indigo Disk DLCs.
After that, find and talk to the character called Snacksworth at the Blueberry Academy. He’ll be standing near the school entrance’s main desk, on the right side.

Because he’s such a fan of Blueberry Quests (BBQs), he’ll ask you to complete as many as you can in order to get special snacks, which will enable Legendary encounters.
- For every 10 Solo Quests in Scarlet, you’ll get one random Legendary treat for Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Ho-Oh, Latios, Groudon, Reshiram, Solgaleo, or Glastrier. These Pokemon will also be available in Violet but through Group Quests.
- For every 10 Solo Quests in Violet, you’ll get one random Legendary treat for Lugia, Latias, Kyogre, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Zekrom, Lunala, or Spectrier. These Pokemon will also be available in Scarlet but through Group Quests.
- Both versions will have Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Kubfu in Solo Quests. Meanwhile, Rayquaza, Kyurem, and Necrozma will be found through Group Quests.
To capture every Legendary creature in the game, you’ll need to complete at least 130 Solo Quests and 12 Group Quests.
However, keep in mind that Snackworth won’t give you the legendaries’ exact locations, but some weird and inexact riddles instead. If you want to find the right spots where each majestic creature spawns, you can use this useful guide.
Can Legendary Pokemon be Shiny in The Indigo Disk DLC?
No, the Legendary Pokemon in the Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk DLC cannot be shiny.
However, this could change in the future, as Shiny creatures have been available in previous comparable gameplay features, such as in both Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon’s Ultra Wormholes and Pokemon Sword & Shield: The Crown Tundra’s Dynamax Adventures.
