Pokemon TCG Shrouded Fable is a must-have expansion set for players who enjoyed Twilight Masquerade and Night Wanderer.
The Shrouded Fable set heavily features Pecharunt and the Loyal Three in a number of iconic cards, alongside other powerful Pokemon, fan-favorite characters from Scarlet & Violet, and some powerful new ACE SPEC gems, too.
Here’s everything we know about Shrouded Fable, including when it came out, the stunning new art style, and what fans can expect when ripping into Booster Packs.
Pokemon TCG Shrouded Fable release date
The Pokemon TCG Shrouded Fable expansion set came out on August 2, 2024, with almost the entire collection being immediately available for purchase. The only two exceptions to this rule were the Elite Trainer Box and the Booster Bundle.
The Shrouded Fable release saw issues with ETBs, meaning the Elite Trainer Box and the Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box will be releasing on August 23 instead of August 2.
The Booster Bundle will be available on September 6, meaning it’ll be coming out just before the Stellar Crown and Paradise Dragona expansion set releases.
New Pokemon cards in Shrouded Fable
Shrouded Fable is packed to the brim with beautiful and powerful Pokemon cards. The woodblock-style Black Star Promos featured in the Illustration Collections are particularly stunning, but there are plenty of rare pieces for collectors to track down.

While the base card list features 64 Pokemon cards, there are further Secret Rares for collectors to pick up. Shrouded Fable features 35 Secret Rare cards, bringing the total card number up to 99.
It’s a small but powerful set – check out our full review here – with a handful of cards that could help to change the meta as we head into the World Championships this year.
Pokemon TCG Shrouded Fable product list
As mentioned, Shrouded Fable has experienced delays with the Elite Trainer Boxes and will be releasing the Booster Bundle at a later date. Aside from this, there are plenty of products to pick from when hunting down new cards. The full product list includes:
- An Elite Trainer Box, with a Pokemon Center variant offering slightly more cards
- An Illustration Collection and two ex Special Illustration Collections, featuring Kingambit, Kingdra ex, and Greninja ex respectively.
- A triple Blister Pack, featuring a Pecharunt promo card
- Multiple Mini Tins
- A Booster Bundle
Singular Booster Packs are not technically included in the official Shrouded Fable product list but some retailers do have them available for purchase. Make sure to check your local card store if this is something that you’re keen on.
