A poll has revealed what trainers want to see in Pokemon Sword and Shield the most.
The Twitter poll from @PokemonSwordNS on September 12 asked the question, “What feature do you most want to see in Pokemon Sword and Shield?
The four answers were Kalos region post-game, difficulty settings, open ended storyline and other (which allowed respondents to suggest something additional).
What feature do you most want to see in #PokemonSwordShield?

The poll, from the 1,455 who voted, revealed trainers would like to see the Kalos region included for the much anticipated post-game content, which garnered 48% of the vote. The results are hardly surprising considering the hype a potential return to Kalos is generating in the Pokemon community.
While there has certainly been no official confirmation about what the post-game will entail, nor any mention of Kalos itself, there are several clues that are indicating Kalos could be linked to the Galar region. You can read why it looks like the region from Pokemon X and Y will be returning in our Pokemon Sword and Shield Kalos article.

Second in the poll was an open ended storyline with 27%. This shows that beyond more content itself, with perhaps an element of nostalgia, that trainers want variation in their journey.
Mainline Pokemon games, until now at least, have had a linear storyline. Fans have been clamoring for a Pokemon adventure where their decisions affect the storyline – whether Sword and Shield will provide this remains to be seen, but at this point it doesn’t seem likely.
How about all of the above? But difficulty setting would be great, the last few games have been easy 🙁 I miss losing against gym leaders and trying to avoid trainers while I looked for the next town

Difficulty settings, whereby players can choose how hard the game is to complete, finished third with 19%. It’s a little surprising that difficulty settings have yet to be added as Game Freak need to cater for the hardcore, long-term Pokemon players through to those who are playing it for the first time.
Other answers predictably included a National Pokedex – it seems trainers are harboring resentment for its removal – and Eevee evolutions, which seem a real possibility.
Exactly what features Pokemon Sword and Shield will include, will be revealed when the game releases on November 15.
