A new Max Raid event has begun in Pokemon Sword & Shield giving trainers the chance to catch Shiny Marill in the Wild Area!

Pokemon Sword & Shield may be nearly three years old at this point, but the game still retains a passionate and dedicated community of trainers.

While Game Freak is no longer releasing significant batches of content for the title and is instead focusing on Pokemon Legends: Arceus, they still update the Wild Area on a regular basis.

These usually come in the form of Max Raid events that celebrate a specific Pokemon type and give trainers a chance to encounter a rare Shiny.
