Without Deckhand’s Hayleigh Gorman and Lara Du Preez on the boat, Season 8 of Below Deck Med can’t continue.
Season 8 of Below Deck Mediterranean hasn’t exactly been an easy one, especially considering the employees and their unexpected exits.
From Ruan Irving and the now infamous forged document fiasco to Natalya Scudder getting fed up with Kyle Viljoen and leaving the yacht, the cast has been ever-changing.
Now that Natalya’s replacement Lily Davison is onboard, the crew and the viewers were convinced that everything was back to normal, but in true Below Deck fashion, it wasn’t.
Is Below Deck Med Season 8 already over?
In Episode 14, Lara Du Preez fell ill and Captain Sandy Yawn had to make the decision to ask her to leave the boat to visit a doctor.
This wouldn’t have proven to be a great obstacle until you realize that Hayleigh Gorman is also off of the boat dealing with an illness.

Because the deck crew is only down to two deckhand members (Bosun Luka Brunton and Deckhand Max Salvador), they are not allowed to leave the dock, which could force the last charter to be docked the entire time.
When it comes to a yacht vacation, guests only want to be out on the water, so this could not only deal with a low tip but also a confrontation between the cast and the guests.
Luckily, the preview for Episode 15 has already been released by Bravo and it looks like Hayleigh Gorman has returned to save the day. But, it also seems like the weather will force the boat to stay docked anyway. Viewers will soon see how this turns out.
There’s also the fact that in the mid-season trailer, Natalya is supposed to be making her return, so fans will also be able to see if her comeback causes more harm than good.
