Below Deck Mediterranean Chief Stew Aesha Scott spoke to Season 9 charter guests about how she feels about crew members who cheat while working in yachting.
Chief Stew Aesha Scott makes her return to Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 after previously appearing on Seasons 4 and 5 of the spinoff and the first two seasons of Below Deck Down Under.
Aesha wasn’t looking for a boatmance this season since she’s now engaged, but she witnessed deckhand Gael Cameron’s fling with her co-worker Nathan Gallagher, even though she has a boyfriend.
In the June 4 episode of the podcast, All Gains & No Game hosted by Season 9 charter guests Jacob Ward and Joel Kirby, the Chief Stew revealed her opinions on cheating in the yachting industry.
“Cheating is like huge in yachting, I think 90 percent of people cheat in yachting. It like, really makes me sad. So, relationships just don’t work,” she explained.
Aesha also added that boatmances on yachts don’t always work out as well in the real world after the crew members leave the boat.

“You’re like on a boat, you’re stuck in your little bubble. You kind of feel like you’re not in the real world because all you see is this boat,” Aesha said. “And I suppose if there’s someone that fancies you, they’ve got their opportunity to kind of chip away at you every day.”
Although Aesha is happily engaged to her fiance Scott and was dating him while Below Deck Med was filming, she had her fair share of on-screen flings in the past.
On Season 4, she was involved in a boatmance with deckhand Jack Stirrup, but she broke up with him after finding out he cheated when the charter season was over.
As Gael and Nathan explore their own cheating scandal on Season 9, hopefully, Aesha can give them some advice to make sure their relationship doesn’t end badly.
