The Below Deck franchise welcomes multiple groups of charter guests throughout the season, but how long are the crew members working on the boat?
Below Deck has aired on Bravo since 2013, and centers around a group of people who live and work in close quarters on a yacht.
The show usually includes a captain, chef, three or four stews, and four members of the deck team in the cast. Every few days, they prepare for a new group of charter guests to enter the boat.
While some Below Deck charters are shorter and last for only one day, others can last for up to three days. During these charters, the crew packs in fun activities such as water sports, beach picnics, and festive-themed dinners.
The crew works long days and gets very little sleep, but they are rewarded with going out on their days off and celebrating when the season is over.
How long does a charter season on Below Deck last?
According to the website Worldwide Boat, the charter seasons on the show last for a few weeks, and the yachts on the show are booked by production for six weeks.

The original crew members who are already working on the boat are sent home so the show can be filmed, which means Below Deck’s charter season is interrupting another one that is going on.
Each group of charter guests on Below Deck are usually featured on two or more episodes of the show, depending on how much drama they bring.
Although the charters bring long hours and hard work for the crew members, they believe that it’s worth it when they keep in touch with the guests after the show and earn tips at the end of the season.
For instance, Below Deck Season 10 star Hayley De Sola Pinto stayed with a charter guest, while Season 11 stew Barbie Pascual became friendly with RHONY alum Jill Zarin.
Barbie defended her on a podcast after her episodes of the show aired and were criticized by fans, which shows that some crew members develop close relationships during the charter season to get through it.
