Real Housewives alums Denise Richards and NeNe Leakes are appearing in a Lifetime movie together, and it doesn’t look like fans are too impressed with their upcoming roles.
Denise Richards and NeNe Leakes were iconic cast members in the Real Housewives franchise and created a lot of drama on the show.
NeNe starred on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Seasons 1 through 7, and returned for Seasons 10 to 12. Denise was on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Seasons 9 and 10, and recently appeared on Season 13 for Kyle Richards’ marijuana-infused dinner party.
According to People, the Real Housewives stars will be in a Lifetime movie together called “Hunting Housewives,” which premieres on March 9.
The movie is about four housewives who become stranded after their plane crashes, and have to use their skills to return to their families. Denise is playing Karla Dodds, and Nene takes on the role of Rebel Carron-Whitman.
Real Housewives fans are confused about movie plot
On Reddit, Real Housewives fans shared their thoughts on Denise and NeNe’s new movie roles.
“What is this mess? Is it scripted or do we get a sort of Survivor-Housewives thing? Will their glam teams be there?” one fan commented.
“The name makes no sense with this synopsis. Shouldn’t it be ‘surviving housewives?’ Or something like that,” another user added.

“Pass. Not a fan of either of them,” someone else wrote, throwing shade at Denise and NeNe.
Although Denise and NeNe’s Lifetime movie is about housewives, both women have acting experience.
Denise has a long history in the TV and film industry, and is most known for her roles in “Wild Things,” “The World Is Not Enough,” and “Love Actually.”
After NeNe became a household name on RHOA, she pursued an acting career. She was a guest star on the popular TV show “Glee,” and a series regular on “The New Normal.”
While Real Housewives viewers aren’t as familiar with Denise and NeNe’s acting roles, the women can show off their talent when they join forces in their new movie.
Hunting Housewives premieres on Saturday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
