The unique competition series spotlights a group of adventurous contestants as they live in the wild, compete in challenges, and ultimately vote each other off until one takes home the win.
Because of its popularity and the fact that normal people are usually the stars of the show, it’s easy for viewers at home to imagine how they would do in the competition themselves. Well, now you can officially put yourself in the contestants’ shoes.
What is Survivor: Horizon Island?
Survivor: Horizon Island is a VR game that puts you right inside of the competition.
As a contestant, you get to search for immunity idols, partake in challenges, and more from the comfort of your own home.
“They can also deal with everyday Survivor tasks like tending to the fire, fishing for food, and of course, trying not to get eliminated,” shared Entertainment Weekly.

This isn’t the first time Survivor has gotten the digital treatment. In the early 2000s, a PC game called Survivor: The Interactive Game was also released.
Is there a trailer for Survivor: Horizon Island?
On March 8, Meta Quest released a full-length trailer for Survivor: Horizon Island on YouTube. The video gives a look into the challenges, locations, and overall graphics of the game.
Who is featured in Survivor: Horizon Island?
Also according to EW, the show’s iconic host, Jeff Probst, will make an appearance in the game.
As of now, there have been no announcements on whether known cast members will be featured in the VR experience.
When can I play Survivor: Horizon Island?
The game will be downloadable starting Friday, March 8 via Meta Horizon Worlds, which is a free platform.
