Lala Kent butted heads with Raquel Leviss on Vanderpump Rules, and fans didn’t understand why she contacted her following Scandoval.
On Vanderpump Rules, Lala Kent never seemed to get along with Raquel Leviss. She always questioned her intelligence level, and had a difficult time having conversations with her.
On Season 10, Raquel was accused of being a “mistress” for pursuing Garcelle Beauvais’ son Oliver Saunders while he was still legally married.
Even though Lala initially judged Raquel, she eventually apologized and sympathized with her because she was in the same situation with her ex, Randall Emmett.
However, Lala ended up being right about Raquel’s “mistress” label when she found out about her affair with Tom Sandoval.
Vanderpump Rules fans claim Lala and Raquel were “never friends”
In an interview with ET at the Vanderpump Rules premiere party, Lala explained why she decided to reach out to Raquel when she confirmed she wasn’t returning to the show after “Scandoval.”
“It resonated with me that she had been isolated, or she said she had been isolated by Tom Sandoval. I know that feeling. I also felt that she needed to come back and apologize wholeheartedly when dust had settled, not when we’re three weeks into Scandoval at a reunion, you know?” Lala said.
On Reddit, Vanderpump Rules fans didn’t understand why Lala contacted Raquel at all. “Lala has said she never liked Rachel, they were never friends, and that Rachel was just a fan trying to date James to get on the show,” the original poster wrote.

Another fan agreed and added, “I think at the time Lala hated Tom way more than she hated Rachel for this, because she knew that even though Rachel was absolutely at fault, she was definitely manipulated by Tom.”
“Lala has treated Rachel as her personal punching bag since she’s been on the show and wants to continue to do it,” a third fan chimed in.
While fans think Lala reaching out to Raquel following “Scandoval” does seem suspicious, they wonder if producers may have encouraged her to do it.
Tom and Raquel’s cheating scandal on Vanderpump Rules Season 10 brought high ratings, and Raquel coming back would’ve continued that streak.
Ultimately, it was Raquel’s personal choice to leave the show, even if Lala tried to convince her to change her mind.
Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premieres Tuesday, January 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Bravo.
