Just a couple of weeks after The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack dropped, the new Rise & Shine roadmap has been revealed, hinting at what the community has to look forward to over the summer.
It’s a good time to be a The Sims 4 player, as Maxis are showering its dedicated community with substantial updates, Game Packs, and Expansion Packs. Most recently, players were able to step into Moonwood Mill with the Werewolves Game Pack, bringing yet another mythical creature life state to the ever-evolving game.
But there is always more content on the horizon, and Simmers can’t wait to see which new outfits, buildings, and themes they will have access to going forward.
The future of The Sims 4 has now been announced by the developers, as they’ve unveiled the plan for July to September.
The Sims 4 Rise & Shine roadmap
On June 28, the official Sims 4 social accounts shared a short teaser showing off the ‘Rise & Shine’ roadmap. The 10-second clip gave fans their first glimpse at what summer will look like for their Sims.
Running from July to September, Rise & Shine will feature a brand-new Expansion Pack — High School Years — Build and Style Kits, and even an update to the base game.
Unfortunately, the teaser didn’t go into more details about what these will mean for players. It also didn’t give any indication as to when each new piece of content will be rolled out, other than the release window of a few months.

While details are sparse, eagled-eyed fans did spot a few clues in the trailer that could hint at what is to come in The Sims 4. The most important was the transgender flag next to the base game update tease, which hopefully means improved trans representation going forward.

The sticker towards the bottom of the poster features a graduation cap and pencils, possibly indicating that high school may play a key part. Meanwhile, the picture of two cacti on the Build Kit image led some players to think that Southwestern styles might be on the way.
The Sims 4 Expansion Pack reveal
The official Sims 4 YouTube account posted a brand new trailer on June 30, 2022, at 8 a.m. PT. It’s here where fans got to see glimpses of the upcoming Expansion Pack for The Sims 4, High School Years, that will be added to the game on July 28, 2022.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, prior to the release, The Sims 4 Twitter account asked a number of Simmers about their lives as teenagers, hinting toward what the now-released trailer is about. We’ll add to this page with any confirmed details, so be sure to check back to stay up to date.
