One of the biggest Smash events on the yearly calendar has arrived with the tenth installment of the P-Tier tournament Genesis featuring hundreds of the top pros from around the world.
Genesis is one of Smash Ultimate’s biggest events and this year is no exception with the best players from North America, Europe and Japan converging on San Jose for what will be a weekend to remember.
The biggest name to look out for at this event from a historical standpoint will be none other than the Smash Ultimate GOAT himself, MkLeo. While Leo may not be the dominant win-everything pro he once was, his Genesis stats are on another level.
However, he’s not the only notable player in attendance.
Players to watch at Genesis X
Dating back to Smash 4 on Wii U, MkLeo has finished 1st in all but one iteration of the tournament, that being Genesis 7 where he came second to Zero Suit Samus sensation Marss.
With five Genesis titles under his belt, the Luminosity Gaming star will be looking to add another victory to his legacy, but it won’t be easy.
Four of the world’s top 5 players, Japanese Mr. Game & Watch Miya, Cloud icon FaZe Sparg0, fellow LG rival Sonix, and Europe’s Glutonny will be in attendance looking to capture glory.
Other key players include Shuton, Light, Tweek, Tea, Riddles, Zomba, Zackray, and Kola – and that’s only scratching the surface of this incredibly deep pool of competitors.
