Following a recent patch, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fans have praised developer Insomniac for updating the Raimi suit.
Developer Insomniac Games has finally released Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s much-anticipated patch, which adds a ton of new content to the game.
Along with New Game Plus and a Mission Replay feature, the March 7, 2024 update also made some general changes to different features.
One of those changes centered around the Webbed Suit, commonly known among fans as the Raimi suit. Following the patch, fans have praised Insomniac for listening to the community after seeing the updated textures.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 praise updated Webbed Suit
A post on the SpidermanPS4 subreddit gave a clear before and after image of the Raimi suit following the recent update.
“I’m giving a round of applause for Insomniac,” the OP said. “I didn’t think they would make any changes, but they did and my heart is so happy – much more accurate now along with fixing the web lighting issues!!! I can’t wait to use it.”
The screenshot showed that the new Webbed suit’s colors appear to be slightly more muted and the raised webbed texture on the red portion of the suit appears softer and flatter.

Many fans in the comments shared the OP’s praise for the updated design.
“I figured they’d just restore it to the first game’s quality. They went above that. Hopefully, they match the webbing on the black suit next,” said one fan.
Others didn’t find much of an issue with the original design but noted the updated version was more appealing.
“Personally I didn’t have an issue with the original suit but the new suit looks so much better,” one player said.
The Webbed Suit textures were the only ones listed as being updated in the patch notes, so it’s unclear if any more of Spider-Man’s suits were changed through the patch. Regardless, it seems many fans are pleased that Insomniac took the time to rework one of Spider-Man’s most iconic looks.
