A La Liga official required hospital treatment after being hit by a camera during a match over the weekend.
Guadalupe Porras was running the line in Real Betis’ clash with Athletic Bilbao when the incident occurred in the first half.
Porras had just begun running back up the touchline after Betis had taken the lead through Ezequiel Avila.
And that was when she collided with the camera, which was being carried over by an operator seemingly to get a close-up of Betis’ celebrations.
Porras immediately hit the turf and soon received treatment, with a large amount of blood visible on her face.

Spanish news outlet EFE said Porras underwent surgery on her injuries at a hospital in Seville and has since been released.
Match referee Guillermo Cuadra Fernandez mentioned the incident in his match report: “As a consequence of this action on the part of the television cameraman, there was a violent blow to my assistant’s head with said camera, which caused her to have a large incised-blunt wound on her face and also lose consciousness. She was left stunned on the ground.”
A statement by Betis said: “From Real Betis we want to send our encouragement to lineswoman Guadalupe Porras for the unfortunate accident that occurred today at Benito Villamarin. A big hug from all of Beticismo [Betis fans].”
