The Liverpool fans who made the trip down to Wembley for the League Cup final will have been all too aware of the injury crisis Jurgen Klopp is currently contending with.
The German is currently without several first-team players to choose from, including Mo Salah, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Dominic Szoboszlai.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones are also unavailable, and pictures showed the pair arriving at Wembley, with Alexander-Arnold in a knee brace and Jones on crutches.
An injury crisis that was about to get worse
The sight of both men arriving helped by supportive gear came as a blow to Liverpool fans, who voiced their frustrations on social media.
One wrote: “Does lfc have a medical or physio department? Perhaps they should invest in one”, while another said: “I thought seeing trent in a brace is already the saddest thing but then CURTIS JONES”.

Liverpool’s woes went from bad to worse in the first half when Ryan Gravenberch was taken off on a stretcher following a bad challenge by Moises Caicedo.
The Netherlands international clearly rolled his ankle in the collision and he was replaced by Joe Gomez.
With Jones, Szoboszlai and long-term absentee Thiago Alcantara all out, Reds boss Klopp will hope Gravenberch’s problem is not as serious as it first seemed as he is already short of experienced midfield options.
