John Cena has hailed Logan Paul as the ‘next Roman Reigns’ in WWE.
YouTube star, Prime entrepreneur and boxing sensation Paul has enjoyed immense success in everything he’s tried his hand at and that includes professional wrestling.
The 28-year-old has only had eight matches since making his debut at Wrestlemania in 2022 but has proven to be a prodigious talent, with his Undisputed Universal Championship defeat to Reigns at Crown Jewell being a particular highlight.
Despite missing out on gold in Saudi Arabia, Paul would go on to clinch a championship last year by defeating Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship.
Paul will defend his title for the first time at this Saturday’s Royal Rumble against Kevin Owens. Another former U.S. Champ in WWE legend Cena has heralded even bigger and better things to come.
What John Cena said
“The WWE has never been at a loss for talent,” Cena told Paul on his Impaulsive Podcast. “They go through these small patches in the timelines when we’re like, what are they going to do next?
“Who’s going to be the next Stone Cold? Who’s going to be the next John Cena? Now they ask, who’s going to be the next Roman Reigns? Sitting right there.”
Paul humbly responded: “Maybe, I personally think it’s Dominik Mysterio. Shout out Dom!”
“By the way, absolutely shout out Dom,” Cena added in agreement.

Cena’s own future in wrestling has been a hot topic this week after he admitted he wants to wrap up his career when he turns 50, in three years’ time. Paul asked Cena about how he sees his last years in WWE playing out.
“So yes, I hope so,” Cena replied when asked if he is set to do another match. “I’m not officially done, I know that I’m close, bud. I’m close. I can feel it.
“Especially seeing you out there doing incredible stuff and just our talent now the product has become so crisp and so fast and so skilled.
“It is a different world and I love it and I still feel fluent and I’d like to say goodbye when i still feel fluent. So it’s coming.
“To the point, you know that moment with the sunset and it starts to go down man, it’s coming down real fast. That’s kind of where I’m at. I’m not done but I need to decide when I am
When asked if he’d ever hold an executive role at WWE, Cena replied: “No. I think what I would love to give to the business is just my time.
“I live very close to the Performance Centre and I would like to go in as a guest. That way I’m not obligated and they’re not obligated in any way. It’s stuff I do in my free time anyway.
“I love going in and just picking their brains. Having conversations about like, ‘so, who are you?’ and them being like ‘what? what does that have to do with anything?’ ‘Only everything, let’s talk.'”
